Link Wray Beloved 1957 Gibson Les Paul Prototype. Link Wray famous 1964 'Screaming Red' Yamaha. Also presenting original Bob Dylan's Chronicles volume one.
Amongst many more hidden treasures. Remember these items will never go down in value which I am keen to maintain as always in all press and media interviews etc.
Cooper Owen will pay tribute and celebrate the founding sound of electric from the late great Link Wray's 50 years anniversary of hit song 'Rumble' (as heard on hit movie Pulp Fiction) to the day on the 17th March. Happy Anniversary Link, God bless you. Many of Links friends are expected to pay tribute and homage over the event in his memory. Link Wray who was a founder of a significant sound was greatly respected by and influenced the late Jimi Hendrix. Link was also greatly respected by many great artists in the music world such as Pete Townsend, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Scotty Moore amongst others. This man was a native American Indian and a legend in his own right and should be recognized and respected always as so. I am honored to be presenting his two only played guitars for exhibition and auction at 'We will Rock Ascot HRH 2008' at Royal Ascot Racecourse. On Sunday 16th March.
Another two key components of this new era launch annual event is that I will be offering stall space to unsigned up and coming talent from today 's creative music and style council , as well as music agents/managers/producers/ media/ radio my idea was to have under one roof as many new musicians who will reserve a stall to stand and represent themselves/style/ and of course music in order to promote in house, in common cause of being seen and heard. I am also offering reserved space to Music retailers and traders from music origin outlets and promotions. Also of course reserved space to music memorabilia collectors/ art collectors. This is sure to bring about a great positive energy which is what I pride my company on which is the driving force behind my intentions to develop and create an annual gathering that Rocks.
I am auditioning live bands to play at venue the end of this month as well as the worlds best tribute bands for Beatles and Freddie Mercury. So I will be presenting live music throughout the event from Today and Yesterday. Bands wishing to audition should send a demonstration C.D and C.V to 'Boveney Court, Boveney Road, Dorney, Windsor, SL4 6QD. For the attention of Louise.
The other key components that I would like to promote is the launch at the Event of the first in a series of Rock/Pop Music Memorabilia Road Shows'. Where by the public , artists, friends and family of are invited and welcome to come along and bring their hidden treasures ( collectable's, memorabilia ) to share on camera to tell the story behind acquiring their item/collection for which a valuation will be given. People also have a choice to consign direct to the company if desired. Either way musical history in the making as this will be the worlds first televised music rock/pop road show, presented by Cooper Owen Music & Film Auction Events.
Cooper Owen will be supporting two charity's that donations from the event will be directed to as my chosen charities of heart which are SENSE children who are deaf and blind and Red Cross Children with AIDS international. The idea is that I shed some light on these causes to help bring them out of the dark.
This event is expected to have a good turn out I will also be offering other forms of entertainment at the event as well as dignitaries to officially open the first 2008 annual Event. I anticipate this event to grow and get big quick as a venue of 'Gathering' for musicians and music, music music and of course important musical history in the making.
Louise will soon be in touch with Richard and Judy, the six o'clock show on One, and Sky have offered promotion live when ready to 'Rumble' as well as Amon Holmes offering me to come back on the box to talk about what ever i'm doing. So I have established some good solid come backs for this time on account of last time when I promoted the Ian James/ Sir Paul McCartney Guitar, people enjoyed me on the box because of I quote 'my passion' Which is real as I am financing this event and my business without outside help or loan, I am a women on a mission that needs to fulfill this event full of love and Faith and rock Ascot. You will see from our press page the huge impact the company has made over the years, People love to read about old music and take a trip down memory lane on a nostalgic journey of feel good and positivity which brings a smile and light hearted feeling of good at a time in the world when unfortunately there is so much negativity. People love the light even when sometimes their in the dark....
Look forward to seeing you at 'The Gathering'
Meanwhile, Keep on Rocking all over the world.
Love and Peace,
Louise B Cooper.
