The 'Gathering' Royal Ascot Racecourse 15th & 16th March 2008

Cooper Owen is to present a Blue Chip line up of two slotted auctions at Royal Ascot Racecourse.

Featuring an amazing unseen Freddie Mercury Collection comprising of 1975 U.S Awarded Gold disc awards to each individual and the whole band for Bohemian Rhapsody. Also the worlds only available and known fully sighed by all of Queen 1970 Sunburst acoustic guitar. Also gold disc awards to Queen and Freddie for albums 'A Night at the Opera' and appropriately 'A day at the race's'. Also available are rare personal affects, and promo posters.

Cooper Owen are also exhibiting and promoting a unique John Lennon Self portrait abstract style in black and red oils on board signed by Lennon on the reverse.

Presenting art work cells of a 240 limited edition, part of the music video made by The Beatles for their hit song 'She said so/ I feel fine. The art work for each of the 240 cells are drawn and colored by hand, which Lennon/ Verona designed and worked.

Offering too is a hand written Lennon manuscript for the hit song 'A day in the Life' a special piece expecting a great deal of attention from collectors and bidders alike.

Link Wray Beloved 1957 Gibson Les Paul Prototype. Link Wray famous 1964 'Screaming Red' Yamaha. Also presenting original Bob Dylan's Chronicles volume one.

Cooper Owen will pay tribute and celebrate the 50 year anniversary of hit song 'Rumble' by the late great Link Wray (as heard on the hit movie Pulp Fiction) on the 17th March 2008. Happy Anniversary Link, God bless you. Many of Links friends are expected to pay tribute and homage over the event in his memory. Cooper Owen are honored to be presenting his two only played guitars for exhibition and auction on Sunday 16th March.

Cooper Owen will be auditioning live bands to play at the venue, as well as the worlds best tribute bands for Beatles and Freddie Mercury. Also presenting live music throughout the event from Today and Yesterday. Bands wishing to audition should send a demonstration C.D and C.V to 'Boveney Court, Boveney Road, Dorney, Windsor, SL4 6QD. Another key component that Cooper Owen would like to promote at the event is the launch of the first in a series of Rock/Pop Music Memorabilia Road Shows'. Where by the public, artists, friends and family are invited and welcome to come along and bring hidden treasures (collectables, memorabilia) to share on camera to tell the story behind acquiring their item/collection for which a valuation will be given and to consign direct to the Cooper Owen if desired. Either way this is musical history in the making and will be the worlds first televised music rock/pop road show, presented by Cooper Owen.

Cooper Owen will be supporting two charity's that donations from the event will be directed to SENSE children who are deaf and blind and the Red Cross for Children with AIDS international.

This event is expected to have a good turn out Cooper Owen will also be offering other forms of entertainment at the event as well as dignitaries to officially open the first 2008 Annual Event. Cooper Owen anticipates this event to grow as a venue of the 'Gathering' for musicians and music, music music and of course important musical history in the making.
